THREE SEPARATE MINI-CAMPS:

LION KING: children will participate in all aspects. Song, Dance & Choreography

This class is for anyone ages 4-12 interested in performing arts, beginners on up. Fresh fruit & water will be provided, but please provide any addition snacks. This class will be Lead by Chad Johnson, well known to most at Montview Preschool. (Class Drumming) Each class will culminate in an outstanding performance. Volunteers appreciated to help with background & costumes.

Dance of the Elements: What’s your sign. This is not an effective pick-up line, but maybe it should be. This workshop will give you insight into yourself and the way you interact with others, based on astrology. If you can remember your birth date, you can take away valuable information regarding, you and your relationships. This class is workshop is for both singles and couples. WORLD BEAT DANCE CLASS

Tuesdays, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
$10 per class

Have fun and wake up your spirit by moving to inspiring rhythms from around the world. Each class begins with a guided warm-up and then takes you on a multi-cultural adventure through music and dance. We�ll explore the sensual flow of Middle Eastern music, the pulsing beat of African music, and the mystical quality of music from India, in addition to experiencing the musical essence of a wide variety of other cultures. This class will get your life force moving!

CREATIVE MOVEMENT FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES: Intergenerational Dance

Saturdays 10:30-11:30 a.m.
$10 per class

Bring the family or bring your own playful spirit and experience the joy and excitement of creative dance. Explore a variety of movement qualities and types of music, discover new ways of expressing yourself, and find connection through interacting with the group in creative ways. Each class begins with a guided warm-up and then introduces movement games and improvisational structures to inspire your imagination. All ages and levels of physical ability are welcome.

T'AI CHI CHUAN WITH ERIC HORNAK

When we think of contemplation, images of someone sitting closed-eyed in the lotus position usually come to mind. Or perhaps we think of someone in prayer. Rarely do we imagine that contemplation can be enacted with eyes open and in motion. Yet that is exactly what T'ai Chi is meant to be. More commonly known as a martial art, T'ai Chi is also known as "the art of longevity," and "meditation in motion." It is an extension of Taoist spiritual philosophy providing a holistic, psychophysical exercise system enhancing every dimension of ourselves, from body to mind to spirit.
